Holly crap do you ever have OCD. Your triggering mine
You're not being honest because you get free stuff from whitestone dome. This is not a good screen protector because it spiderwebs for just about everyone who buys it. Whitestone dome is trash
Just installed mine and it looks awesome….it covered my cracks and my screen looks new
update… third time installing this brand. it's no more impact resistant than the usual tempered glass protector brands. The ONLY reason this is expensive is because of the glue. it stays on well. so you're paying $50 for the glue. there's nothing special about UV glue women use this in nail salons. so I'm mystified why this is still so expensive. the tray is nice but not necessary… a wedge block will do the same job and cheaper to manufacture.
one complaint with the glass, it's often not perfectly flat so there's a gap and the glass starts to lift at the edges with regular use. this has happened more than a few times while installing mine and for friends. disappointing for such an expensive product especially with the questionable impact resistance. Twice I cracked the screen without dropping the phone… each time it was in my pocket and made contact with a subway turnstile and another time I was holding a hammer on a belt loop and just grazed it against the phone while it was in my pocket. any contact with a metallic surface seems to be it's Achilles heel.
I just installed mine. I listened to your video. I had some issues getting the fluid to roll down as a bubble. All the liquid was together but it wasn't perfect small bubble. I see two small circles towards the top. I had issues getting liquid containers to screw in tightly. I had hold bottle and unscrew top. I used alcohol wipe and cloth. I cut pieces to fit on sides and used tap on speaker. I followed uv lamp up and down and again after taking out of tray. I put screen over phone in case to see if it was feasible. I guess I could've washed phone over and the screen and re tried but all in all, I'm fine with results.
I used plastic insert and rest screen on top tilting phone so fluid went down then removed tab once screen and fluid hit. Maybe its air pocket. I saw some but it looked like fluid cleared it after covering the entire screen.
Clear and concise, cant ask for more, Thank you.
Why am I watching this when I just finished putting mine in, It came out perfect, UAG got to be one of the best cases for my phones especially the Monarch.
Make sure you try the UV light before you do anything, I heard people having issues with the light.
In other tutorials I have seen people do an additional step: before applying the UV lamp they just use it 15 seconds on the top and bottom and then take out the smartphone and wipe the edges clean again from glue that may have run out at the sides. After that they apply the UV lamp again. Didn't you face the problem that glue runs out under the glass and down the sides?
It would be really nice to see an optically coated version to help eliminate some of the glare.
I absolutely love whitestone dome for my note series phone … I really think they are overpriced though; I am stuck paying for it because its almost a necessity now. Whitestone should lower their prices or at the very least – offer a discount for their repeat customers and make the adhesive available to purchase.
too late to watch T.T all my glue is gone and only left my dome glass.. now in a middle of nowhere to find loca glue
waaw that is great video so how can i get that screen protection
great video. I am ordering whitestone sp's for my new galaxy s10's today.
Whitestone will be my choice of protector from now on.
Great video. Thanks. Helped me install one on my S8. Work perfectly.
Will it help with a cracked screen? (To hide/make less noticeable the cracks?)
S10 has gorilla glass 6, curious to see tests with and without whitestone dome glass. Is it really needed?
So the liquid is pretty much clear nail polish and uv lamp to dry it?
why dont they position the bridge in the middle so u dont have to tilt the phone??
The best hand on tutorial. Planning to get one soon.
Thanks for the detailed video! For some reason, Amazon refuses to show me this product, despite giving search hints. Following the link in the description has the same effect – no products found…
Very helpful, thank you! The process went smoothly.
This is the best installation video for Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector. Excellent advice and demonstration.
Perfect
Unfortunately I got small air bubble in the top left side and longitudinal bubble at the button left where screen curves. I cleaned my phone completly before placing the class, removed all the dust and did not have my liquid separated. What have I done wrong?
Thanks, this video really helped me. I used the Whitestone video first and screwed up the first installation and had already used the curing process. The protector had dropped too high on the phone and was covering the tape for the speaker. I noticed this after curing upon removal of the phone from the case. I found that removal was easy and to get the adhesive off of the protector I had to use goo gone or goof off which worked well after soaking. I then used warm soap and water, dried it, used the alcohol pad on it and cleaned it well. The second application went flawlessly. That was mostly by finding your video and following it step by step like you did. Thanks…
Great Video! By any chance you know if this screen protector is compatible with the Tech 21 Evo Wallet Case? Thank you and keep up the amazing work! 😀
14:53 i can feel the nervousness through the screen lmfao im sure everyone that used this can relate, im gonna buy one
Still on and perfect. I am not a big phone dropper. My glass lasts for an avg 2 years. Till I swap phones.
Well I think I've done as shown in the video and I had a little problem maybe something goes wrong the way I installed, I have a galaxy s9 plus.. I noticed that in the edges of the screen some kind of lines or bubles are appearing after the instalation any idea why this is happening?
Not sure why you would use hot glue on a high quality screen on a $1,000 phone. I've used Armorsuit screen protectors for years without any issues. You have to work to get them over the edges, but once they're on they last a long time and are easy to remove and much cheaper.
How about the edge panels? Are they still that easy to open up even with Whitestone Dome on?
Too much talking and not enough small details from your – i tried your video first and then used the one before as it was much clearer and step by step and in order of how you expect to do install
i will add my revue in a few days but this is a pain the ars. happy holidays
also UV the corners
please make certain your surface is level- purchase a level for a few dollars at home depot or hardware store- this will save you much frustration
if your glue bleeds into the back of your phone before you apply the glass protector pop your phone out quickly and whip it down with a cloth with cold water and soap. the samsung phone will whip clean sort of- depends on your timing- don't use hot water. your holder is glued now- what do you do? wash with cold water and soap. use currying lamp to finish the glue to a solid state in the tray after whipping most of the glue up. coat you tray with aluminum- really thin aluminum. go for the 2nd glue with a leveled surface you with be comfortable with the 2nd application- but this is advice not a proven theory- it worked for me. after the screen is glued to satisfaction check your audio, all camera functions and rear phone functions and side buttons. best of luck
You don't need to clean the protector itself before laying it down?
Now we are in December and the video uploaded at Aug , what you think about the protector ? any problems ? thanks.
With the glass installed will the phone fit in a Samsung LED case and an Otterbox Defender case??
Dome glass adhesive will destroy the factory coating on the Note 9. You will know this if you have to remove the screen protector for any reason.
Whitestone should make a version that covers only the screen part that lights up and then sell a case that covers the top and bottom bezel with cut outs for the camera and speaker. Like the Spigen 360 slim case that has 3 parts: top, bottom and back
Will this work for the Otterbox Defender case for the Note 9?
you are the best. I followed the exact same process and there is no bubble at all…your video was precise and to the point.. Thanks a lot.
will it work with an otterbox defender?
too expensive and it's a hit and miss
