Supersource demo begins at 3:18.
In part 2 of my Blackmagic Design ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K review, I take a look at the feature unique to the device: supersource multilayered video. It works great.
BUT – I am having some show stopping problems. The biggest issue is getting my computers to show up on the device through the SDI ports. The other problem is that the fan is ridiculously loud on the device – so loud that it really needs to be put in another room. My mics are picking it up. This is in contrast to the prior generation hardware that was fanless.
I will keep working on a solution but it’s likely I am going to send this back to B&H. The problems don’t outweigh the benefits sadly.
