Facebook Inc. has introduced a new tool, Brand Collabs Manager for helping the content creator community. The new collaboration tool aims to facilitate an effortless connection between content creators and brands. Facebook’s new branded content collaboration will enable creators to grow their audience base and hence earn more money.
The social media giant’s new collaboration tool Brand Collabs Manager is a sort of two-way search engine platform for advertisers and content creators. Here the tool highlights each creator’s audience data, that is, follower count and their demographic variables including interests, gender and age range. The brands can accordingly discover creators whose audience closely matches their target market. Moreover, the sponsors can also scroll through the creators’ branded content posts on Facebook and earlier business connects.
On the other side, Brand Collabs Manager also let creators promote themselves through customizing their profile so as to display necessary details to the sponsors. Besides this, the content creators can like brands’ Pages so as to reflect their interest to collaborate with them.
The new collaboration tool is presently available to selected brands and content creators focusing on the USA.
First of all, Facebook has launched the Creator App for Android following it introduced the Facebook for Creators site and Facebook Creator app for iOS last year.
Secondly, the social media leader is gradually expanding its live streaming feature Ad Breaks to more creators in the US. The Ad Breaks allow creators to take breaks in between the Live videos and broadcast ads of up to 15 seconds in length. The broadcaster earns 55 percent share from the resulting ad revenue. To begin with, Facebook will open up this tool for creators who stream longer and original content that can pull back the audience and build a loyal community.
Facebook is also expanding a testing tool that enables creator community to earn money directly through subscribers without deducting commission. Through this tool, viewers can pledge $4.99 per month to creators for access to exclusive content and a badge highlighting their status as a fan.
Adding to this, Facebook will display a special badge next to the names of a creator’s top fans. With this feature, creators can easily locate their loyal followers and interact with them. During a test, the leading social media player found out that both creators and audience loved this feature.
To augment creative skills of the creator and publisher community, Facebook recently reinvented its watching video platform. It has introduced a set of new interactive tools namely Polling for both Live and on-demand videos, as well as Gamification for Live.
Using these tools, creators can insert interactive features into their shows and videos, for instance, polls, quiz questions, and challenges for their followers.
Facebook’s new tool, Gamification for Live brings a new gameplay setup on the platform. In this, a publisher can generate a set of questions with each having a right answer. The participants start getting eliminated from the game as they give an incorrect reply.
Most of Facebook’s new tools are live in the US only. It will roll out the services in the new regions soon.
