If you’re a subscriber of PlayStation Plus on your PS4, PS3 or PS Vita, you get access to a plethora of free games every month to keep alongside game and DLC discounts. It’s a great way to expand your game library and pick-up games you might’ve missed the first time around – especially with indie games, which Sony constantly highlights.

Even if you don’t want to play the games straight away, the beauty of PS Plus is that once the games are in your library, you’re free to download and play them whenever you like (as long as you’re a PS Plus subscriber) – not just in the month that they’re featured.

So, what are you waiting for? Sign up for a PS Plus subscription and keep reading to find out which free PlayStation Plus games are on offer in February 2018.

Free PS Plus games in February 2018

So, what’s on the menu for PlayStation Plus subscribers this month? The headline for most gamers will be RiME, the beautifully designed adventure game that draws comparisons to popular series like The Legend of Zelda, but there are others available too if that’s not your cup of tea.

Original Price: £29.99/$29.99 on PlayStation Store
Platform(s): PS4

Offering unique visuals and gorgeous animations, RiME is our pick of the best PlayStation Plus free games in February 2018. The stunning third-person adventure game follows the story of a boy that washes up on the beach of a mysterious island after witnessing his father’s death. With an art style akin to that of The Legend of Zelda, what’s not to like?

Original Price: £15.99/$19.99 on PlayStation Store
Platform(s): PS4

Knack was one of the original games available for PS4 at launch, and Sony had big plans for it too. Sony was planning to turn the monster into one of the company’s mascots but, y’know, no-one enjoyed the game (or the sequel!) so plans changed. It may not offer 100s of hours of gameplay, but it’s a fun platformer that’ll help you pass the time on rainy weekends.

Spelunker HD

Original Price: £7.99/$16.99 on PlayStation Store
Platform(s): PS3

If you were a fan of (or are old enough to remember) the 1985 NES classic Spelunker, then chances are you’re going to love the HD remake. The game offers overhauled graphics and over 100 brand new levels for you to fight your way through, though it’s for PS3 users only – sorry PS4 users!

Mugen Souls Z

Original Price: £15.99/$19.99 on PlayStation Store
Platform(s): PS3

This popular JPRG focuses on the story of the ‘God of the Universe’ Chou-Chou and her attempt to dominate the seven best-looking planets in the entire universe. The game features turn-based combat and “9,999 levels of maniacal mishaps and insane adventures” that await Chou-Chou, Syrma and the rest of the gang.

Exiles End

Original Price: £7.99/$9.99 on PlayStation Store
Platform(s): PS Vita

Based on adventure platformers from the early 90s, Exile’s End is ideal for those that love the side-scrolling, retro look. You and your gang of mercenaries are tasked with locating a missing ship on a remote mining planet – as you can imagine, it doesn’t quite go to plan.

Grand Kingdom

Original Price: £39.99/$39.99 on PlayStation Store
Platform(s): PS4, PS Vita

Yep, it’s another JPRG, though this one is available for PS4 and PS Vita users and offers a different experience to Mungen Souls Z. Unlike the aforementioned game, Grand Kingdom focuses more on classic beat ‘em up gameplay while incorporating board game elements into the game to offer something quite unique.

StarBlood Arena

Original Price: £24.99/$19.99 on PlayStation Store
Platform(s): PSVR

The only free PSVR title this month is StarBlood Arena, an action-packed arena combat game that pits you against pilots from across the (virtual) galaxy. Think of it as being a little like EVE: Valkyrie, flying around arenas of all different shapes and sizes and playing against other online players.
