See my Yoga 720 review here:
This device packs a premium price as compared to other mid-range laptops like the Lenovo Yoga 720 13″ I looked at recently. Lenovo delivers more for the same price.
So what are you paying for here? Build quality. One thing Microsoft has done with its reference Surface designs is to offer their vision of what PCs should look and feel like. So while other computers offer more memory, storage, and sometimes performance for the price this one brings nicer build quality.
The Windows 10 S operating system built in is stock Windows 10 with one huge exception: it does not run software downloaded from the Internet or residing on your storage devices. Every app must be downloaded through the Microsoft Store to work – you can’t even install older versions of Microsoft software.
Microsoft does allow for users to upgrade to the “Pro” edition of Windows 10 that removes this restriction. Right now that upgrade is free but it will be $50 starting in 2018.
