This week in the wrap … have some fun this week with Thanksgiving games from Kahoot; a great reminder that “edtech” is not about giving student devices and assuming that is going to make a difference – for technology to have an impact, it needs to be part of a larger, well planned initiative (with plenty of PD for teachers!); a few pieces about coding and kids; a few pieces about the continued evolving relationship between teach and teaching in our universities and colleges; and we end with the question, is our “love affair” with digital tech over? Are we awakening to the reality that it isn’t all about convenience? Obviously, I’m a big fan of tech, but I think we need to be informed and aware and seek a balance.
